Floral tights, Leather, and Doc Martens

m- First name Maddy. Last name leader. I would not have made it through major parts of the campaign without the help of this one. Not only was Maddy a kick ass, dedicated worker, Maddy was perfectly equipped with vast knowledge on art, culture, politics, and everything else in between. It really was a treat to tackle impossible tasks with Maddy...all for Barack. All this being said, I was not surprised when the multi-talented Miss Leader waltzed through the campaign door in THESE.
Fitfully from Manhattan, this one knows whats up in fashion. This city staple (the black leather jacket)  is something everyone should have in their closet. BAM, bam, thank you ma'am for these LEGGINGS. Digging the pattern, digging the print. Maddy found these tight tights at American Apparel.

Doc Martens are 90's all day. Really no surprise that Doc Martens have a huge presence on the streets these days. These Docs, in particular, are that much cooler because of the yellow laces. Well done, Miss Leader.

We kicked ass in these boots. Pleasure working with you, you fashionable, friend you.

Leather, Spikes, Jeffery Campbells, Fall Fashion

m- During my time here in Ohio, I have met people from every walk of life. Working at liberal arts universities in rural Ohio, to working with the inner-city in downtown Columbus, I have experienced a broad spectrum of personalities, lifestyles, and dress. One group of new-found Ohioan love, in this constantly growing network of amazing people, is a group of fantastically fresh and perfectly precious ladies from Ohio Wesleyan University. I first met Brianna and Jackie in the student center of the university as I stopped them for a picture while I was registering students to vote. After showering them with appropriate, but not near enough compliments, they said, "Wait until you meet the rest of our friends." I was not disappointed.
In time, Jackie and Brianna introduced me to the beautiful Maggie (And Ruby + Ayana of course...not pictured). Maggie is a complete fox and she doesn't even know it. Her style is SPOT ON. Spikes, leather, crosses, Campbells.  I could see her traipsing down Camden in London now...and what an Ombre! That takes talent.
Pop of red pumps from Brianna.
Jackie (left) looks good in ANYTHING. Have you seen those pictures of her from a couple of weeks ago? Bye. You know? This lace dress is of course fantastic on her and makes her long, luxurious legs even more fantastic.
Briana is stunning. See here.
This black, lace detailed dress was the perfect cute for her tiny precious size.
OMBRE. CROSSES.
An awesome transition to a little fall ensemble. I really liked Brianna's choice of brown, green, and denim. The light skirt is perfectly paired with the heavy denim. Brianna is perfect with proportions and knowing the right proportions for you is truly the best way to look best. Again, I love this fall look.
Can't get ENOUGH of these spiked Jefferey Campbells. I SERIOUSLY CANT. They remind me of when Courtney and I were in Camden Town in London SO much.
More Jefferey Campbells....this time...the CLAW. These puppies are sick. Jefferey Campbells are the God's of the modern shoe world. I have never seen anyone use the canvas of a shoe in such a bad-ass, gravity-defying way. They have changed the shoe industry immensely for the better.

I'm really going to miss these fashionistas. You all are beautiful, talented, and fashionable ladies. Go kick some ass and look good while doing it.

Get your fall outfits on folks, winter is just around the corner.

Because we're obsessed.

Wilmington's Best Boutiques: Edge of Urge- Street Crawlers.

c- Hood rats just hanging on the street.  Decked out in bada$$ outfits from Edge of Urge, Jess and I were ready to take on anything this day threw at us in our handmade junkies. I am wearing one of my favorite pairs of junkies, the split black and navy. Topped off with Vans leopard platform sneakers, a sheer blouse, leather jacket, and my favorite staple: red lips.  Jess is sporting junkies and the fabulous Enlisted Coat by Mink Pink
How hawt is this chick? She rocks the witch/IDGAF look better than most. Jess Young is typically the behind-the-scenes talented styler with the fun flare. This slightly sheer Southfork top by For Love and Lemons pairs flawlessly with high waisted EOU junkies and this killer hat.  Lets hope she stays in front of the camera for awhile because she is giving the people what they wanna see-- sultry realness.
Ombre, texture, patterns, and my favorite circular shades! The one and only Mink Pink Backstage Jacket made me want to be a groupie- in a fabulous kind of way. Michael Ussery and Jess Young are style sauvants. They have a keen eye for mixing patterns, colors, and textures in a put together way that is right up my alley. It's never too much if you know how to rock it!

Jessie Williams is at it again. This time, with over-the-knee high super soft socks. Perfect for fall and incredibly on trend, try pairing these with open toed heels! If you peek below you can also spot another Edge of Urge original, the Vegabond Scarf.  Fall colors and incredibly soft; this scarf can be worn in so tons of versatile ways. A scarf is the perfect piece to take any outfit to the next level, all while keeping you warmer.

Velvet is IT. The Crush On You Dress (top) has a cinched waist and a quilted detailing on the shoulders. It can go from day to night in a matter of seconds, from a cardigan to a leather jacket- it give you the power to rock it in YOUR way. I'm a sucker for a cut out and the Tribal Halter Tank Dress (bottom) is another incredibly quick day to night piece with a sexy back.

Meredith! She is great; she is talented. Meredith has the ability to take every model as a blank canvass and sass them up. Not only can she create "the look" through makeup, she is double talented and a superstar when it comes to hair styling.
Oh yeah and one of my favorite ass-kicking spiked booties by Jeffrey Campbell available at
Edge of Urge- the Avalos Boot. HOLY HAWT.

All pictures are captured by the talented Keith Ketchum- check out his blog! Styled by Michael Ussery and the Edge of Urge crew- and everything is available in the store or online if you're out of town!

HASTA LATER!
