men's fashion: no longer a dying breed

Alex is precious in every way, especially his style. Although I haven't been able to capture his unique aesthetic YET, I am certain there will be photo shoots in the near future. Alex has an Andy Warhol feel- as his instagram so rightfully deems Alex as a "lover of nostalgia, Warhol, & simplicity." Couldn't have said it better myself. ANYWAY today we have a little bit for the guys. Guys are always left behind in the fashion department but lemme tell you....we're working on it gents. I assure you.

Color!!!! Still loving us some color at Fresh and Precious. Pinks and teals scream good 'ole colorful fun and this vintage Wrangler button down is a fantastic linear display of these fresh colors. Love the western style and color combo.
Mustaches are hip. Graphic tees are hip. Vintage wear is hip. And this shirt is for sale. (and super affordable...like 15 bucks affordable.) Love this kitschy tee.
70's prints are very distinct. This printed button up displays this great 70s print and is super light and comfortable to wear.
This guy is another example of wonderful vintage western. The details on the pocket give this piece a unique shape. Love the gold pinstripe with shiny black snaps. SUCH a great piece for men. You'll see this guy in our fashion show.
This Clockwork Orange vintage tee shirt is super soft and wonderful to wear. I've had this guy since high school and I found it at a yard sale in Raleigh. I think this shirt goes great with this AWESOME vintage denim vest from Guess. Of course from the Lori Wyatt Vintage Collection, this piece is one of a kind. This kind of denim you can't get anywhere...especially with this leather detail on the front. LOVE THIS PIECE.

Start adding some unique pieces to your wardrobe boys. We know there isn't always a lot to choose from but once you start adding one-of-a-kinds...people will start to notice.

Like what you see? Hollatchaboi.

Spring Fashion Trends: vintage citrus dresses & wedges

c- A dress is one of the easiest, yet swiftest way to put a spring look together.  Let your favorite color do all the work. Legs go bare and add some wedges for fun.  These citrus inspired dresses from Lori Wyatt's vintage collection had us feeling soooo Jackie O on this beautiful day.

Michael's vintage Lacoste sweater teamed well with the citrus vibe of our spring dresses.
Sister, sister
Alike but completely different.
I'm always ecstatic when Lindsay has some extra time to play dress up and allows us to showcase her natural beauty through amazing clothing.  Colored belts and vintage earrings have been great staples to pair with all of Lori's amazing dresses.
The dresses. If you want them, let us know!

Gotta run!

Keep it classy.

White, Linen, and Pops of Pink this Spring

First off I would like to point out Michael's new hair do!!! I literally love it, makes me weak in the knees....ok this is getting weird but SERIOUSLY! Good change, bro.

And just in case you haven't heard it enough, Lori Wyatt's vintage collection is really pulling out  all the stops this spring.  As much as I hate to admit it because of my immediately love for this dress, but this beautiful purple and pink thing is for sale (contact for details)! Flattering on almost all figures, this dress gives you the option to cinch the waist with a matching tie belt.

I love it because it's comfortable yet complimentary.

This outfit just wasn't complete without my new Jeffrey Campbell's I purchased from Wasteland in Santa Monica.....*sigh* take me back.....Michael is sporting his vintage 90s Rebok High-tops.
White details are perfect for spring.
Linen, navy, and white are three things we like to see mixed.  When living in a hot beach community, it is important to keep things reasonable when it comes to heat. You gotta stay cool.
LINEN!!! So effortlessly light and slightly sheer.
Both these navy linen and white pants are from Berska in Barcelona.

Today was a perfect little spring day.

Seeing Spots with Polka Dots

Polka dots. A pop of fun. A sea of spots. Trendy little devils, these Polka dots are everywhere in every kind of way. Lori Wyatt Vintage is seeing dots and brings the vintage to 2012 trends. Courtney and I haven't had too much time to blog together lately so we definitely wanted to seize the day and take some fun shots down by the inter coastal...a place I've always wanted to shoot. Luckily, Lindsay could join the fun under the Spanish moss and Wilmington's afternoon sun. Spring time welcomes this lovely purple color (a super trendy color at that) and these two one-of-a-kind 60's dresses from Lorri Wyatt's vintage collection. The McGovern sisters couldn't have worn them better.

So much to talk about. FIRST check out Courtney's new Jefferey Campbells...these are ridiculously "precious." More of these white beauties to come. Please note the McGovern sister's complementing cat eye glasses. Each their own style and personality.
I love this black and white dress with a fresh orange floral pattern that is noticeably vintage because of it's unique print. A yellow belt from Court's closet cinches Lindsay's waist right where it needs to be. Looking good Lindsay.
Court's turn. Again...those shoes. Jefferey Campbell really just knows. You know? Now look at the  shape of this dress. Pleated at the bottom and cut mid-arm, this dress is already something like we haven't seen. The collar is what really does it for me. Perfectly pointed and complementing of the neckline, this fun collar is the peter pan collar but better. Thank you Lori for this puppy.
Wikipedia graciously informed me that-"Polka dots..leaving us to suspect there is a connection linking the pattern to the dance. Instead, the name was settled upon merely because of the dance's popularity at the time the pattern became fashionable. Many other products and fashions of the era also adopted the polka name." Who knew?"
Primary colors come first. These three pieces are a great example of how men can color block and a great way is to use primary colors. This vintage yellow Lacoste cardigan was a preppy touch to the outfit. American prep doesn't stray from short shorts and these fire engine red shorts look great with my ultra light shirt from Bershka in Barcelona. This was a great, cool outfit for the upcoming summer weather.

Wanna know the best part of all of this? You can buy these. Just call us. We've got you covered. Also, don't forget to check out what else Lori Wyatt Vintage has to offer.
Now you can see spots.

ombré denim amidst wasteland stars.

c- After my trip to California this past weekend, I absolutely did not want to leave.
Not only is it magical, but the shopping is to die for.
After working at a consignment shop, I was on the hunt for west coast resales.
Located all over California, this gem is something else.
They have all designer resale as well as wholesale clothing...all unique and stylish. I was overwhelmed...it felt like heaven.
This is where I got my new denim shirt with cut out shoulders that teamed well with my black skinny jeans. These jeans were also a great find at Wasteland, I love the stars on opposite legs.  What other shoes could be more comfortable for a day filled with walking and shopping?
My snakeskin Jeffrey Campbell litas, of course.
Amy looked flawless in my red Maxi dress.
It is simple, yet flattering.  She paired it with her TOMS wedges and versatile leather bag.

If you look closely you can see the Hollywood sign nestled on the hills in the background.
