El Diablo Blanco in Black

I met this Olsen twin at Amare Pare the first day I started working at the flagship by NYU.
We fell in love at first sight.
Spencer doesn't give AF. And that's why we love him.

I knew I wanted to take pictures of Spencer since I met him at AA...
but in between sweatshop (free) hours at Amarepare, and everything else life, it never happened.
Today we took it to Bed-Stuy.
I love Spencer's style because it is exactly the opposite of my own style. Black. So much black.
 Black like Spencer's soul.
But look how pretty he is.
A canvas. A muse. A Vampire.
Just kidding he's not a vampire. OR El Diablo Blanco, like his fellow neighbors call him.
He does wear a shit ton of black though.
But I love it and I get it completely.
When I lived in Barcelona, black was it. All I wore. BLACK.
Eventually, I had to purge myself of all things black (for mental sanity, nothing personal black).
But black works. It's flattering on almost all accounts. It's chic. It's classic and futuristic. It's black.
Black is for Spencer. And it looks freaking great on him.

I'm getting back on black. New York will eventually eat me up in it's dark BLACK hole, but for now, I am introducing black one piece at a time. FINE NEW YORK I'LL WEAR YOUR BLACK.

Because we're obsessed.

Basics with Bria in Brooklyn

Bria Bria Bria. What a fox. Actually....fox isn't even sufficient. This girl is some kinds of beautiful.
Today Bria and I wanted to cover some more basics from American Apparel. Again, I am a firm believer in basics and how important they are to your wardrobe and how GOOD your body can look in basics that compliment your body.
Today Bria was wearing the basic long-sleeve crop-top and velvet leggings from American Apparel. And how smokin does she look? The silhouette of the high waisted leggings, combined with the crop-top, give you a SHAPE that everyone wants to see. The skinny waist gives you appropriate curves below andddd makes your legs look longer. Yes please.
As we were shooting it started to SNOW. Naturally we grabbed the leopard.
And Bria looked fierce in it.....naturally.

And that was that.

Basics are basically the best. Invest in basics that fit you and your job will become much more easy.

Because we're obsessed.

No Print Left Behind

PRINTS. Love em. Live for em.
Today Kearlo and I had a little kiki and ventured under the tracks for some pics.
Alex and I have a lot of crazy prints that need to be shot, so it was time to jump on it.
This is one of my favorite vintage prints I own. There are leopards, zebras, and the occasional elephant. I LOVE the details of this top. Ten Dollars. Goodwill. HELLO.
Also, see the little bolo tie I've got there? Found this Chevy bolo on the floor of my warehouse in Williamsburg. On the floor. It came to me via immaculate fashion conception. I will never take it off.
Alex's print of choice is this fab mix of colors from American Apparel. The color pallet is wonderfully warm with eggplant, olive green, orange, and details of brown. Love this print.
Kearlo's OOTD.
Alex paired his print with this BOMB maroon leather Member's Only. I envy Alex every time he wears this. Perfect for this time of year. That color though....
My OOTD.
I paired my animal party with my favorite article of clothing of all time- my 100's from American Apparel. I literally don't take off these light-washed jeans. The high waist does me GOOD. And the camel toe is for everyone! I accessorized with American Apparel fingerless gloves, black skinny belt, and black boots from Urban.
Williamsburg always gives us life.

Loving the prints of the day. Remember that no print is too crazy. No print left behind.

Because we're obsessed.

Hashtag American Apparel

American Apparel has been my home since the first week I arrived in the city. Growing up, I was short of obsessed with the American Apparel brand. I actually attribute most of my current style to this store. The vintage cuts, in Americana style...give it to me.
And here I am, in New York City, managing a freaking AA. Who knew?
Working at American Apparel is like going to high school where all the kids are the cool kids. It's quite nice. Say hi to Aly in her chiffon print and vintage cat-eyes. This look totally encompasses the dark poet from LA look that Aly so wonderfully embodies.
And all we do is like....play with colorful clothes all day.
And take selfies.
And play in more colorful clothes.
My girl Paige was featured on the American Apparel NYC instagram last week after Paige and I took some pictures outside the downtown Brooklyn location. It was cool to see my pictures on the insta. Again, who knew?

AA bitches be fierce. There really is nothing else to it. Lorraine is rocking the off-the-shoulder crop top and red pencil skirt like she owns the damn place. And the houndstooth skater dress on the right is to DIE for. Look at that side boob.
I really am so obsessed with these clothes....it is borderline unhealthy. Praise the lord for the discount.
I got to be on the instagram too! #instafame #aamodels #amarepareforlyfe

I've really met some beautiful and stylish people in the world of AA so far
and I can't wait to meet even more.

Because we're obsessed.
