European Fashion: September in Spain.

m- The ancient city of Granada, Spain. Granada (Spanish for pomegranate) is a fantasy of a city nestled into the bottom of the great Spanish Sierra Nevada mountains just an hour from the Mediterranean coast. Home to the Moorish citadel of the Alhambra, and the mystical flamenco performances put on by gypsies in the caves of the Nevadas, this city is truly one of a kind. There is nothing more inspiring to my fashion senses than traveling. And whats more inspiring than an ancient Moorish village?

The Ancient city of Alhambra. "Don't call my name, don't call my name...Alhambra." -Micaela

This rustic door on the cobblestone streets of a wealthy village just outside of Granada was home to fantastic views of the city and the Sierra Nevadas. Naturally, I tried to dress to the mood of the atmosphere of the day. Neutral tones respected the city's cracks and history. This shirt from the Zara in the city caught my eye because of the wooden toggles and navy hounds tooth on the collar. Perfectly fitted and full of texture, this shirt was an awesome find. Topman denim boots and H&M shorts finished off this look, perfect for a walk through thousands of years of history.

My favorite part of Granada, was to no surprise, the shopping. Middle Eastern street vendors lined the streets, filling the air with life. Handmade textiles, leather sandals, and silver rings were on display as far as the eye could see. Every vendor ready to make a sale. This handmade leather bag was my adventure of the day. I took it way back to the days of bartering and managed to talk down this bag from 70 euro to just 40! Bad for them, good for you.

We know that it's September and its about time to pull out the fall wardrobe. However, if you're somewhere like Southern Spain or back at home in Wilmington, North Carolina....its still hot. We decided to celebrate fall by bringing a fall color pallet but keeping cool in shorts. (Topman) White short-sleeved oxford by American Apparel. Camel belt by Topman Paris.

Hasta luego Granada.

Because we're obsessed.

Fresh and Precious
