Kim Takes the Port

m- FINALLY I have access to a computer. Computer-less blogging has been pretty impossible lately but this only means there are many pictures to showcase in the next couple of weeks. Today I give you Kim. Stunningly perfect in every way, Kim is an awesomely natural model that I can't wait to work with a lot in the near future. Kim has a FANTASTIC sense of style and her edgy, almost rock&roll style is a great compliment to her light, Free People-esque wardrobe. After getting in a little trouble for taking pictures at the port, we managed to get some fun industrial pictures this afternoon!

Like I said, Kim knows how to dress. Her petite frame is showcased perfectly with this whimsical Free People Dress. The movement of this dress is out of this world-always giving us a new shape with each passing gust.
Jeffery Campbells. Our not-so-new obsession. These shoes are literally out of this world and each and every pair is cooler than the next one. These are the shoes that EVERYONE needs to invest in because one can rule the world in these puppies. Go get some. People will respect you more (really). A great collection of Campbells can be found at Edge of Urge!
Unedited beauty.

You can't leave without saying goodbye to the Campbells!
The second half of Kim's pictures will be up tomorrow so stay tuned for sure.

Street Style: Procrastination

c- Sometimes it's hard to truly appreciate the value of time until you are running short of it.  Exam week was tough for Michael and I, and therefore the blogging was lacking.
But we're back! We're back! Oh yeah.
This particular shoot actually happened when my Communication Studies group was together studying for our final exam, when attention spans failed as the beautiful day slipped slowly away thanks to the sunshine's winter hours. We quickly split up to grab outfits and reconvened with just enough time to break out the camera and have some fun.
I am wearing one of my most treasured pieces from London, my cape! I love love loveeee this thing. Not only is in incredibly comfortable, but it pairs perfectly with tall boots and colored leggings. It also carries the sentimental value because I wore it when Michael and I went to Stonehendge.  Jordan is wearing pants from Pac Sun, shoes from Zurrick, and the patterned shirt is from our local Bargain Box.
We decided to spice it up and ask just this passer-by to join some photos, luckily she was interested! She is wearing a killer Michael Kors leather jacket!!!
Swoosh.
Swoosh.
Swooooosh.

That's a wrap, folks.

Fashion Trends: Scarves and Sequins

c- It still feels like fall here in Wilmington. In fact, it was 75 degrees last week. How does a fashionista stay with the fall trends without wearing too many clothing in such warm weather?
Scarves.
They are SO versatile and this blue scarf Carissa is wearing is one of Michael's he purchased in Spain. We laid the scarf over her shoulders as you would a wrap and belted it to give her a cinched waist. These jeans are Current Elliot brand jeans and this sequin tank top is from Express.  These killer shoes are a perfect way to balance a warmer weathered fall while mixing black and tan.

Ta-Ta for now!

Fall Fashion: Emerald Wheat

m- Yet another great day with my girls. Finally, after years of planned and ambitious trips, my much overdue flea market trip finally took place. The ever-creative Abe and Amy joined my side on a  weekend excursion to Raleigh's local flea market. Whichhhhh ultimately lead us to an impromptu photo shoot on the grounds of the Raleigh Art Museum. Once again, the color pallet for our shoot came by happenstance as Abe and I wore this great emerald color at the same time without even planning it! Threw in a light, classic look from Amy and some vintage finds at the flea market and we had ourselves a little photo shoot!
Amy found this vintage light blue denim oxford and tan belt by Ralph Lauren at Cameron Village's Bargain Box in Raleigh and I love the mustard cardigan with it. This fall bouquet displayed the perfect colors to compliment this look. If only Amy could carry this around all the time.
There are some great things going on with these outfits so take note.
I especially Abe's sheer emerald blouse paired with the heavy sweater vest.

I love this terri cloth polo I got online from American Apparel. This material isn't found often in clothes today but I think it could make a comeback fast.

Look at these BROACHES! Vintage of course. Amy found this cameo and leaf pins in the depths of her grandmother's collection and completed the set with the anchor from today's flea market find. Abe on our right has many talents- including being a coat rack.
This emerald Ralph Lauren Polo re-emerged from my high school closet and it couldn't have come at a better time. It is crazy how much you actually have in your closet, all you have to do is look.
I die die die die die die die dieeeeeee for this Mila Schon Milano bag that Abe so graciously blesses my eyes everytime she wears it. This bag....

What a pleasant afternoon.
