Spring Prints in Bushwick

WE CAN FINALLY MAKE OUTFITS THAT WONT BE COVERED BY A JACKET!
And we are all kinds of excited about it.
You know that DAY when the sun finally comes out and your skin can breathe in the sunshine for the first time? We live for it.
We thirst for color...at first we thirst for colors as pastel and as bright as possible. Kealro broke out this pastel tropical wonder the first week of this year's spring. I LOVE. Vintage men's tropical shirts are super trendy...they kind of always have been a staple of American summer time but now the fun in the irony of wearing ridiculous tropical shirts have made them all the more prevalent on the streets.
This one reminds me of the interior of a Miami Subs. Just needs some flamingos.

Round glasses are baaaaaack. We're not mad at it. Kealro got these at American Apparel for $45 bucks. If you're broke like me, you can find super cheap, round sunglasses at anyyyy Chinatown booth or on St. Marks for like $10. Again, love the round.

Kealro feelin it on the roof in Brooklyn.
My Spring ootd was a little less color-inspired but certainly perfect for the 60 degree day. I finally broke out my semi-croptop I got at Topshop in London. The shirt has shrunk since I got it a few years ago BUT my high-waisted 100's from American Apparel totallllly has saved this shirt from retirement. It is giving me a Spring breeze I thought I'd nevah feel again!
Gold accessories duh. I want to be dripping in gold, you know? LOVE these sunglasses from American Apparel. Round enough and quirky enough and gold.
Feelin it.
Heyyyy Spring.

80s Prints and Cheese Puffs

Prints. Love me a good print. Endless possibilities.
Another quickie in the loft today with Kealro. ;)
Kealro bought this print at American Apparel yesterday and I'm in love love.
The red roses are a little rock and roll and I digggg it. I'm feeling a little Guns & Roses.
Maybe some Grateful Dead.  Totally a Kealro shirt.
Per usual, black accessories make the print pop even more.
Roses.
My print today is suuuuper 80s.
The accents of teal, pink, orange, and purple should have tipped you off.
I especially love the random gold pots and occasional newspaper found hidden in the print.
What were you on 80s?
Both Kealro and my shirt's are made of super soft silk. Again...super 80s. AH I love this shirt!!!
I wore my little gold Casio watch (from American Apparel)
with this shirt if you can see it down there on the left.
I only have a few more months in this warehouse and we gotta ENJOY our prints.
LIVE with our prints.
Eat cheese puffs with our prints.
We've got a great thing going, this warehouse and I.
We love our prints in it.

Because we're obsessed.

Best Vintage Shops in Brooklyn: 10ft Single by Stella Dallas

Located just a few blocks from the ever-popular Bedford Ave, 10 ft Single is the place to shop for vintage clothing in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Similar to it's East Village sister store, Stella Dallas, 10ft single's walls, ceilings, and floors are packed with glorious vintage pieces for both men and women. Their extremely extensive collection has landed 10ft Single on Brooklyn's best vintage lists since it opened five years ago. If you are a vintage junkie, it would be a disservice not to visit this ultra-hip gem located right in the heart of Williamsburg.

10 ft Single's collection represents every era imaginable. One can find a full collection of 80s band t-shirts, a rack of WW2 military jackets, and a room full of vintage dresses from the 20s to today. Easily organized by color, era, and size, 10ft Single is surprisingly easy to navigate. Often it is difficult to find what you need at a thrift store but here, it is certainly not the case. Need a floor-length fur from the 20s? Allow a super-trendy employee to lead you to the fur room of course!
10 ft Single is divided into two main rooms. The first room is dedicated to hats, boots, jewelry, and the bulk of the women's vintage dress collection. In the rear, one can find the "American Vintage Room."
If you are looking for Levis denim, broken-in boots, American varsity jackets, vintage hunting gear, old cable-knit sweaters, or US military garments, you will never leave the American Vintage Room at
10 ft Single. Classic, vintage American is an aesthetic Williamsburg locals wonderfully embody on the streets of Brooklyn. The location of this shop couldn't be more appropriate.

Next time you are in the neighborhood, make sure to stop by 10 ft Single on North 6th and Metropolitan Ave. We promise you will enjoy what they have in store.

You Keep Me Young

m- My friends Mickey and James Dean were SCREAMING at me the other day.
It's been cold and they haven't got out of the house in months.
After many pleas from the both the mouse and the studly Dean, I called Kealro to come join us for a roof party.
I'm not a HUGE fan of the printed tee, but you've got to have a few good ones in the wardrobe. Sometimes you need to youth it up a bit.
I loved putting these outfits together.
Kealro wore this Mickey Mouse sweater that I got in a thrift shop off Haight-Ashbury in San Francisco last spring. I especially love the vintage color scheme and color blocking of this sweatshirt.
It makes Mickey Pop. The best way to wear a crazy top it to put it with an all-black bottom. Alex wore his standard black Dr. Martens with his black jeans and skinny belt from American Apparel.
My mom found me this vintage tee from an estate sale last summer. Obvi a favorite. And it's vintage soft. I paired James Dean with a denim button-up and red skinny belt from American Apparel.
My pants of choice today were these bombbbb paint-splattered jeans. When I put this outfit together I was totally channeling artist loft and having my Demi in Ghost moment. I laced up my super-hightop Converses and the look was complete. I'll have Patrick Swayze in my arms in no time.
So you finally got out of the house for a while Mickey.
You too my boyfriend. (I only smile for James Dean)

Play around with the printed tees. They keep you young.

Super Fly with Superdry

No matter how much I want to deny it, I have crossed the threshold of adolescence into adulthood. Gross.
However unappetizing this reality is, there is still much to look forward to.
Unsurprisingly, I am anticipating the clothes the most. There is not more attractive than a grown man with a grown wardrobe. Can I get an amen?
Building your wardrobe up to dapper-status takes time and a little bit of thought,
but the FIRST place to start your journey to manhood, is the suit jacket.
Where does one get a good jacket? We'll tell you.
The super trendy Superdry is HUGE in the UK and is totally diving into the streets stateside.
We love them. The UK is always front-lining trends and street style and Superdry is no exception. Definitely take a look at their site and what they have for both men and women.

Superdry has recently partnered with British tailor, Timothy Everest, and is giving us classic looks that are perfect for the well-dressed modern gentleman. A great way to ease yourself into maturity is to throw a casual sport coat over a casual outfit. I LOVE a good t-shirt, jeans, and tweed jacket look as shown above. I would wear either of these outfits in a second. Throw some boots with your outfit, and you've stepped into the next level. It's that easy folks.
Want to class it up even more? Superdry is giving us a different silhouette with this longer suit-jacket. I love a long jacket in the winter. This jacket is just a few inches longer than a standard cut, but the effect on the body is great. I also love the deep winter colors in this outfit. Deep maroon and dark navy are rich colors that are great for this time of year. I have a maroon suit jacket that I pair with emerald chords and brown boots which look FAB and has a similar feel as what Superdry has going on above.
This suit is the reason why I am fine with entering a world of maturity.
How sexy is a tailored suit on a man? How sexy is this suit?
Every man needs a tailored suit he wants to go anywhere in life.
Anywhere.
I think this gray number is a perfect starter suit. It is both young and mature, while being light and structured. I need this Superdry. I'll send you my measurements.

The time will come to every man when he must accept his age and buy a suit jacket. I'd advise this moment to come sooner than later. This investment will open more doors than you would ever think. Check out Superdry and the kick-ass jackets they have for all modern men.
You'll be a dapper gentleman in no time.

Because we're obsessed.
